Medical Pharmaceutical Consultation is the way to stimulate collaboration between GP and pharmacists to improve the safe and rational use of medication.
Our main project at this time, is the development of ‘quality improving programs’ to stimulate collaboration between GP and pharmacist on a local level, called Medical Pharmaceutical Consultation (Medisch Farmaceutisch Overleg – MFO in Dutch). The focus of these programs is around the safe and rational use of medication, to improve the patient care.
These MPC programs can be funded by the NIDHI (INAMI/RIZIV) and our company has the responsibility to submit and coordinate them on behalf of KAVA.
